Nefertine on the Nile is a preschool animated series, based on the stories of Janna Carioli and Luisa Mattia, co-produced by Graphilm, Cyber Group Studios and Waooh !, in collaboration with Rai Ragazzi and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Lazio Region and Europa Creativa.
The series, which includes 52 11-minute episodes, has been aired every day on Rai Yoyo from 10 May and available in streaming on the Rai Play platform.

Discovering ancient EGYPT
Nefertine is an 8-year-old girl with inexhaustible curiosity and great courage, who lives in ancient Egypt.
She is the daughter of the pharaoh’s scribe, she has the unique ability to read and write. This is why she aspires to become the first scribe-reporter in the history of Egypt and reports all the vicissitudes that see her as a protagonist in her papyrus-diary. Eager to know new things and a bit reckless, she often ends up getting into trouble, but her trusted friend Piramses is always ready to help her. So the two friends, together with the cat Micerina, accompany the children to discover Ancient Egypt.
Among mysterious mummies, sphinx investigations and small fears in the shadow of the pyramids, they embark on a journey full of discoveries and fun. The stories starring Nefertine are intended to entertain and are based on solid values like the stones of the pyramids: friendship, loyalty, a sense of justice and a desire to learn. And the little gems of historical information are a background, which emerges and intertwines with the adventures, dreams and battles in which any child can identify.
